Answered Prayers

I wend to church every Sunday for about 22 years. I stopped going when I moved out on my own and Sunday's became a day to meet up with friends for breakfast, or to sleep in. I of course kept up my semi annual visits of Easter and Christmas Eve. But regular church goer, I am not.

However, I do firmly believe in the power of prayer, and being a good person, and that there is a God, and a heaven, and that there are Angels, and that the saints are amazing.

My favorite of all the Saints, is St. Jude.

His novena is magic. Straight up, miracle from heaven, magic.

I mean, you can't ask to win the lottery, or ask to be mailed a random check for a million dollars, (or ask that the November 2016 election results be proven to be a mistake), or anything, sort of, frivolous, well I suppose you could, as I may have asked for one of those things, but he doesn't really work in those kinds of miracles. He works in personal miracles, he sees inside your heart, he knows what you really need and knows if your ask is genuine. He gives you what is just right.

I am in the process of doing one, a novena, that has about 7 or 8 asks, and one of my asks, a big ask, came to fruition. I'm always surprised when that happens, even though I shouldn't be, I always am; because sometimes, the answer can be no. Usually it isn't. Almost always it isn't. But when the answer is yes, it always surprises me and takes me breath away a little.

I have only used the novena twice in a desperate state of pleading, crying, begging. And the asks were granted. I have used it a handful of other times, with some asks not as desperate or urgent, but still very much needed and important, and all but a few of them were granted. In hindsight I can see that the one's that were not granted ended up being fine.

Anyway. It is part of the deal, in using this particular novena, that you publish the prayer if yours is answered. I am sure this won't be the last time that there will be a post like this from me.

So, as I promised, here it is...

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be Adored, Glorified, Loved, and Preserved throughout the world, now and forever. Sacred heart of Jesus pray for us, Saint Jude worker of miracles pray for us, Saint Jude, helper of the hopeless, pray for us.

Say this prayer, a novena, nine times a day for nine days, and your prayer will be answered. You must promise to publish the prayer.
